Overview

Baldwin Wallace University is recognized for preparing educators seeking to excel, offering program options for current educators, initial licensure candidates and professionals in the public and private sectors to expand or earn professional credentials. Candidates will take their professional practice to a new level, master the latest technologies and enhance leadership skills all under the guidance of exceptional faculty. Classes are offered in both the traditional seated format and online (depending on the program). Programs can be completed on a full-time or part-time basis.

Our curriculum offers lifelong learning pathways for those seeking an initial license, an additional license, or simply looking to expand credentials. • Areas of Specialization

  Students can choose from five areas of specialization:
  Literacy Programs
  Leadership in Technology Programs
  Special Education Programs
  Gifted Education Programs
  Educational Leadership Programs

• Licenses and Endorsements

  In as little as 14 months, an educator can complete the coursework to qualify for an additional credential for their license:
  Computer/Technology Endorsement
  Reading Endorsement
  Intervention Specialist License
  Principal’s License
  Superintendent’s License

• Initial Licensure

  Adults who have a bachelor’s degree are interested in the teaching profession can pursue an initial licensure program or opt to earn both a teaching license and a master’s degree. BW also offers traditional programs leading to a bachelor of science in education.

• Professional Development

  BW offers professional development workshops that focus on the topics most relevant in today’s classrooms. These self-paced workshops offer flexible starting times and are taught by expert educators. They allow busy professionals to earn credit that can be applied to license renewal or added to a transcript.

Baldwin Wallace Partnership Program
Baldwin Wallace has formed partnerships with more than 100 area school districts to offer their teachers and administrators special enrollment benefits, including tuition discounts for MAEd degrees, as well as graduate courses leading to licensure and endorsement programs, making costs competitive with any institution.

Simplified Partnership Application Process:

• No application fee.
• We’ll accept transcripts directly from your board office. Once you apply for admission, the BW admissions team will contact your school district for copies of your transcript.
• Only one letter of recommendation. Normally MAEd programs require two recommendations.
